Have you ever thought how Ferdie and I became a couple?  Hey, just in case you are interested, Ferdie and I were invited to share our love story at the TV program, The Sweet Life. Hosted by Lucy Torres-Gomez and Wilma Doesn’t, the show talks about different stories of life, tips on households,  special talents and for this month, they are featuring different love stories of couples from all walks of life. Special thanks to my friend Loi for making this happen. This is actually my 3rd TV appearance ( AS IF!! ). First was when we were interviewed in RPN 9 regarding Megapixels, how we started the business and everything related to photography. Next was also in QTV 11 when I was one of the makeup artist of a reality show. O well, I hope i can watch the episode this time. The Sweet Life is shown Mon-Fri 5pm at QTV 11 or at Channel 24 at Sky Cable. Expect our episode in a week or two.

I am Php 10k Richer today!

I am so excited to share with you that I got very, very lucky to win a Photo Contest entitled “Manila – An Urban Decay”

The contest was sponsored by the “We are the Reason movement“.  (click the link to read more about it)

Here’s the fun part.  I was a bit hesitant to join such contest as I am not really the competitive type.  We did the shoot on a very, very steaming hot Sunday… about more a month ago… together with my SPPP (Society of Portait Photographers) buddies, we visited the sites of Tondo and the Streets of Binondo. I was not just in it for the fun… thanks to my friends.

And then, comes the submission of the photos, telling almost everyone “Hindi naman magaganda eh“… but then Jeng (my wife) finally convinced me to just submit “Malay mo!“… and so, I submitted 4 entries… “Akalain mong, 2 out of the 4 entries I submitted got to the top 12!  Whoah!  Here’s the top 12. My entries that made it were 4 & 10. To tell you honestly… it was pure luck! :)

winners are the following:

1st place: Andy Samaniego (Bagging 25k Big ones!)

2nd place: Alex Ares (taking home 15k)

3rd place: Ferdie Flores (yours truly is 10k richer today)

It’s been a while since we had a shoot at St. James the Great Parish! It must have been over a year, a year before I started blogging! So here’s a start! :)

Clarel and Jen were actually civilly wed in Downunder OZ (Australia)… and here they are again tying the knot again but this time before God! :)

We had an early call time (6aM) … for an early 10AM wedding!

After 11 years… Omar and Earl finally ties the knot! :) It was a solemn wedding … where else but at the Historic San Agustin Church!!!

It was our first time to team up with Fellow Wedding Photographer Jayson Arquiza!  Hmmmm… Omar, a photographer himself, must be expecting lots of photos! :) and he has an awesome collection by the way!

It was a full house! The team including me, numbered at 11 (including the onsites crew, assists) while the Jayson had his back-up as well!  It was quite hard to shoot!

About the video, supposedly it was another 1 cam  SDE video but I just have to bring a spare! :) … and what do we get… better clips!  At the reception, I actually took the glidecam/video when Omar and Earl had their grand entrance! Watch it here! :) (Song as requested by Omar: Snow Patrol’s “Signal Fire” – OST Spiderman 3… nice selection)… Hey, check out their first dance!

Marlon and Michelle are one of those madly in-love couples working very, very hard abroad.  In fact, due to their workload, they arrived a few days before their wedding! :) I’m so excited to share what we did for them…

4 days before Marlon and Michelle’s wedding, we were supposed to have their prenup pictorial at Intramuros, Manila. The couple were eager to get something like a 1940’s themed shoot… but at the last minute, we had to cancel the outdoor shoot since it was raining. And because we were running out of time, I convinced them just to have it done in our studio and allow us to do our “magic!” – Photoshop Magic that is!!!   I million thanks to Marlon and Michelle for trusting us…

To start with, for their onsite wedding video, they were requesting “When God Made You…” but I suggested to use something else… we ended up with something more upbeat!  Something more like them! :) Here is “John McLaughlin’s – Industry” We hope they liked it!
